Accurate and timely financial information is essential for the stability and growth of the Company. Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, Inc., leverages financial systems to automate the business processes that account for financial transactions, report historical and current financial condition, and support business decisions. The sophistication of the business itself is reflected in the complexity of financial systems and their interfaces with other business systems.

The role of Financial Systems Manager II is primarily to ensure efficient maintenance and operation of financial systems, to provide optimum functionality, and to ensure data integrity and security. This role is also responsible for provision of useful system outputs such as reports and data analysis, and for identification and implementation of process improvements.


  • Responsible for maintaining ERP system functionality including timely software updates
  • Responsible for maintaining financial system data integrity, including creation of new account, org, and re-org to support company's reporting requirements
  • Responsible for finance system control and compliance for Airbus U.S and its subsidiaries
  • Coordinates data dependency between other interfacing systems (Time & Expense, Concur, ADP, Alteryx, Cobra, Tableau, Cognos) and ensures fluent finance data exchange
  • Supports Finance, Accounting and Financial Reporting through system improvements affecting accuracy, efficiencies, and effectiveness
  • Introduces and implements new Costpoint modules and functionality to promote efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Consolidates local financials using financial tools
  • Coordinates financial reporting process with senior Finance & Accounting management to ensure proper consolidation and deconsolidation of the financials for reporting to different divisions
  • Leads and serves as focal point for Costpoint upgrade projects (e.g., CP 7.1 to CP 8.1 GCCM).
  • Leads ERP implementation project for subsidiaries using different ERP systems that are in immediate scope for upstream merger
  • Leads Incurred Cost Submission set up in Costpoint
  • Other duties as assigned.


Relevant Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
  • Software Systems Administration training (or equivalent experience) is required
  • CostPoint certification is required within one year after appointment
  • Master's degree in Accounting is preferred

Relevant Experience

  • Minimum 3 years general Finance and Accounting experience
  • Minimum 4 years - Combination of experience in Financial Systems Administration (Deltek Costpoint Financials preferred), Project Management, Accounting Leadership roles
  • TipQa implementation experience is preferred

Performance Attributes and Capability

  • Internal and commercial systems proficiency required for the position (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, CostPoint, JIRA)
  • Advanced proficient understanding in Costpoint its modules and related products
  • Advanced proficiency in Cognos
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to detail, excellent organizational follow through skills
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and root cause analysis skills
  • Ability to comprehend and, when necessary, draft original technical documentation
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical, non-technical, support, and business staff at all levels
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and to establish priorities and proceed with objectives without supervision
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
  • Attitude & work ethic adaptable to change in a fast-paced work environment


  • US citizenship is required; current US passport recommended
  • Travel may be required up to 5% of the time

Physical Capability

  • Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents.
  • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds including safety warnings or alarms.
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment.
