Position Summary:

The Bids and Proposals team at Airbus U.S. aims to improve the efficiency, agility, and quality of bid and proposal activity. By collaborating with partners across the company, the team executes every proposal to being a compliant, compelling, winning bid that delivers value to our customers. We prioritize opportunities and identify the resources needed to produce those bids and proposals. The Bids & Proposals Intern is responsible for providing support to the Bids and Proposals team. They support with administrative aspects of proposal development - organizing internal flow and review of proposal inputs, coordinating schedules, and supporting final proposal production. Preferred locations: Arlington VA, Denver CO or Merritt Island, FL or Remote.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Proposal Coordination: 80%
  • Assist in coordinating the scheduling of kickoffs, color teams reviews, and gate reviews; be meeting notetaker
  • Support proposal editing; be a reviewer and editor on proposals to help make clearer language
  • Support bid and proposal process improvement initiatives
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations to support quarterly opportunity reviews
  1. Additional Responsibilities: 20%

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:


  • Currently enrolled in or having received an undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university
  • Possess an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment
  • Carrying: able to carry documents, electronic equipment and/or supplies up to 40lbs/9kg
  • Lifting: able to lift documents, electronic equipment and/or supplies up to 40lbs/9kg.
  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas.
  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.
  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves
  • Standing: able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Walking: able to walk through office and outside areas including uneven surfaces.
