Position Summary:

The main job responsibilities for the IoTs Developer Intern will include developing software modules, interface and APIs, integrate existing partners APIs into Airbus MCx solution. In particular, the person in this role will design an API that will allow robots or drones to communicate with each other, exchanging both information and location data.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Architecture Design, Integration, and configuration: 80%
  • Understands the IT and applicative environment in which Airbus products will be integrated.
  • Under supervision of the System Architect,
  1. will design API and develop prototype
  2. Assist Automatization of the roll-out of solution and tools to industrialize it
  3. Participate to configuration of the IT infrastructure (Hardware, virtualization, storage, Public Cloud (Azure, OVH...), NAT, firewall/VPN, DHCP Server, DNS server, security monitoring...)
  4. Help Integrate Agnet Software with 4G/5G networks (PCRF for QoS management, eMBMS... according to 3GPP interfaces)

Under supervision of the Business Analyst,

  1. Assist in set up and configuration of demos when necessary
  2. Assist Integration SLC solution with third party's products (Video System, IoTs devices, Robotics etc....)

  1. Documentation: 10%
  • Develop, writes, updates and publishes technical documentation (HLD, LLD, Test Plans,...)
  • Open, follow up and close trouble tickets/service tickets utilizing the Airbus ticketing system
  • Develop or adjust appropriate maintenance procedures
  • Copying, filing, and other routine administrative duties as assigned
  • Support quality/ISO, security, safety and training programs applicable

Additional Responsibilities: 10%

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:


  • Currently enrolled in or having received an undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university
  • Possess an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher



  • General knowledge of 5G communication architecture
  • Knowledge in C++ and related languages (Python, Java, C#, HTML, et al.)
  • Experience with database design and cloud technology (Azure a plus)
  • Research wireless communication technologies for current and upcoming projects
  • Able to understand and implement software requirements
  • Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter interested in a challenging and fast-paced work environment

  • Preferred: C++, Microsoft Azure, Cyber Security, and/or IT Certification

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • Ability to research and evaluate vendor solutions.
  • Knowledge of global platform cloud architecture
  • Knowledge of broadband solutions
  • Ability to define solutions from very high-level business ideas

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Presentation, Proficiency in Other Languages):

  • Must be able to speak and write English fluently.
  • Must communicate effectively and clearly verbally and in writing.

Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • Broadband network knowledge is a plus
  • Application: webservices (Nginx, php, NodeJS), Database (MySQL), SIP services
  • Infrastructure and application deployment and provisioning tools (Ansible, Terraform, IaC...)
  • Cloud deployment (Azure, OVH, AWS)
  • Smartphones & accessories ecosystem

Travel Required:

  • Up to 10% Domestic & International

  • Environment: Be able to endure field conditions including possible overnight field assignments
  • Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings, able to identify correctly color coded component and wires
  • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds including safety warnings or alarms.
  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools
  • Carrying: able to carry documents, electronic equipment and/or supplies up to 20lbs/9kg
  • Lifting: able to lift documents, electronic equipment and/or supplies up to 20lbs/9kg.
  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas.
  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.
  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves
  • Standing: able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Walking: able to walk through office and outside areas including uneven surfaces.
